Residents in the slums and periphery areas have limited access to affordable and quality healthcare services. In addition, lack of economic resources, information, and assistance prevent them from using private facilities. The densely populated living conditions increase the chance of infectious disease outbreaks, thereby increasing mortality rates, reducing productivity, and increasing poverty.
